SEAL Mounting and Laminating Films & Adhesives

When you select a SEAL material to convert your print, you can be sure of quality, performance and value. With over 300 different heat-activated, heat-set and pressure-sensitive materials to choose from, each roll of film is specially constructed for perfect mounting, laminating or encapsulating according to your print type and application.

Tried and tested on the market leading SEAL range of professional wide format laminators, every material is designed for high performance, optimum image vibrancy and protection and virtually always available in a choice of many different finishes and sizes.

Depending on the finished product you are looking to produce, you may need one or a combination of different materials that will effectively ‘sandwich’ your print to form your graphic. The possible layers of the sandwich and types of SEAL products you would need are shown below:

Over-laminating Film - A clear film with an adhesive that is applied to the top or front side of an image. An over-laminating film can also be applied to both sides of an image. This is known as encapsulating.

Mounting Adhesive - An adhesive material (film) that is used to bond a printed image to a substrate or surface.
Adhesive can be applied to the face or back of an image depending on the finished product.

Backing Film - Designed to apply to the backside of a printed image to obtain some level of opacity and rigidity to prevent curling when rolled up. Backing films ‘encapsulate’ the image as an over-laminating film is also applied to the top.
